Elizabeth Taylor married Michael Todd on Feb 2nd, 1957, when Taylor was pregnant with their child. The wedding took place in Acapulco, Mexico. Todd enjoyed the media attention their marriage received. In June 1957, he threw a lavish birthday party at Madison Square Garden, which was broadcast on television and was attended by 18,000 people. However, within a year of their wedding, Todd died in a plane crash, which reportedly left Taylor half-crazed with grief.
