On the fence about Jewelery

Jessica, on September 27, 2019 at 12:01 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

I absolutely love my dress! I'm not really a jeweler person, and although my ears are pierced I can't wear earrings (literally allergic to everything) although sometimes I get by with something for a few hours. I definitely feel like I need a little extra sparkle. I wear the same necklace every day but that necklace does not go with my dress. I also don't have a lot of room in the budget for jewelry. What are your suggestions? Pics of dress in comments

I think your dress is such a statement piece in itself even if you didn't go with jewelry it'd be so good alone

I agree! Definitely no necklace with that beautiful dress. Something in your hair (comb, ribbon, headband with pearls or a little sparkle) would be plenty.

Your dress says it all. If you could wear a small earring that would be nice but if not I wouldn’t stress.

There's a decent chance you have - but have you tried gold plated earrings? It's the only thing I can wear in my ears for more than a few hours. Those can get pricey if the gold content is higher, but you can get gold plated earrings at places like Amazon which are cheap, or even places like Kohls where you can stack a bunch of coupons. I'd consider earrings if you won't be uncomfortable, but I agree that the dress is elaborate enough that you don't really *need* anything.

I agree with PPs that you should skip the necklace and go with a hairpiece. I do think earrings would work, but it sounds like that’s not an option. Look online, there are so many beautiful and inexpensive options. Bridal salon prices are insane so I’d avoid getting your accessories there.

Could you do clip on earrings rather than regular ones?

The dress is really gorgeous on you and would be fine on its own. If you want sparkle maybe a sparkly head piece?

Beautiful dress. I know most people have said no necklace but I think something small and sparkly would look great with the dress. Personally I like a necklace with a lower neckline. It doesn't have to be big or anything, but an added something would look nice

I love your dress!!! I bought my necklace from Swarovski. It’s elegant but gives that needed sparkle without overdoing it. I also have sleeves so I’m not wearing a bracelet or anything like that.

I think your hair piece could be the sparkle if you don’t want to risk an allergic reaction with the earrings. Maybe the hair piece could be your something borrowed..from family or friends..or from online (renting). If you don’t want to borrow, I’m sure there are plenty stores you can shop from like Icing.

Your dress is stunning! I don't think it needs a necklace at all. I would try a hair pin or comb. There's a lot of options on etsy that is not too expensive, I would like there.

The dress alone is absolutely gorgeous and you look amazing. I honestly don’t think you need jewelry. If you WANT it though I think something simple, single strand single diamond necklace and simple earrings. They make clip on earrings! I would look for something like that and plenty of places sell jewelry for a pretty low price (under $50) and I would search around for deals if you choose to go that route. Again I think you look amazing without. Also consider if you’re going to have a headpiece. If you have a headpiece then that’ll do just fine also. Hope you find what works best for you!

First of all: omg. Your dress. Is gorgeous. Asdfghjkl I love it!!!
if you wanted to skip a necklace you definitely could. It's perfect on its own. However if you did want to add a necklace I would suggest something like pearls! I did a quick search on amazon and I think any of these would look amazing with your dress and emphasis the amazing neckline! I think the price range for these is $15-$40 so suuuper affordable.

Are you doing a veil? Your veil could incorporate some sparkle in it, which would be lovely as well. Just a touch around the edges would be stunning with that Smiley smile

I think your dress is beautiful on its own... maybe a hairpiece if you want some bling? I'm using pearls for my jewelry (my dress is a strapless sweetheart neckline, so I dont have your gorgeous illusion line) because of their simplicity though. You could try clip on earrings if you really wan them too. My friend has the same issue, so she had clips at her wedding. Smiley smile
