Make a list of top 3 most important elements. Toss the rest.
Search the parks dept website for a venue. Restaurant catering will be your cheapest option with excellent food.
Browse Thumbtack.com for vendorsOnly invite those nearest and dearest to youFriday or midweek is cheaper than Saturday.Decide on your guest list and and save the dates now. They can be as simple as electronic via paperlesspost.com or a text/call/email.

Wedding costs suck. It’s stressful. That said, you can be creative and have a beautiful wedding. Have a small wedding (fewer than 25 guests) at a beautiful church, temple or courthouse then a private room meal at a lovely hotel or restaurant—lunch or dinner. Want a big wedding? Have a church or temple ceremony at 2 pm followed by a cake & punch reception at the church/temple hall. Depends on your vision and guest list size.

Well, then, perhaps he needs to compromise and be ok with having the wedding at a later date.

I would definitely recommend doing a minimony with under 50 guests if you're looking to get married in the next few months. And start planning ASAP

As it is now, I don't think you'll be able to book everything you want for a good price. My wedding is in Feb. 14, and I had to scramble for a new venue, since my original one basically bailed on us. In order to have our wedding now, of 150 people, we had to be willing to fork over an extra $2000 for a venue that will take us in this late in the game.

I've been planning my wedding for over a year and a half now, and I'm gonna be honest when I say that it takes a couple of months to book all the vendors you need.

If you want to have your wedding in the beginning of the year, with lets say 150 people, my best advice, is to forget that, and maybe aim to have your wedding around late 2021. At least then, you guys won't have to be that worried about COVID, hopefully.

However, if you're absolutely set on getting married within the next few months, micro-weddings of less than 50 people are the way to go. Aim for a small guest list to cut costs, and hire vendors that are basically new to the game, and don't have much experience.

Ok so we are only having about 75 people and with just booking the venue they starting off extremely high thats without the vendors and photographer or the music.... Mi fiance doesn't want to change the date its symbolic for him... so now I'm running g round like a chicken with her head cut ✂️ off

I wish he would but he is dead set on the date its symbolic to him representing new beginnings and change.... Don't get me wrong its a wonderful concept but I fear I won't be able to finish everything in time

Unfortunately, I think you are going to have a very difficult time finding a venue and vendors that will be available because a lot of weddings were postponed until next year. I think the best option is going to be to have your wedding at a non-meal time and to just serve cake and punch. Otherwise, you'd end up spending more than you probably want to spend. I would also tell your fiancé he need to assist with planning since he is giving you such limited time to plan.

I had a small wedding due to covid, but it turned out to be affordable and a really nice day. We invited 20 of our closest family members.

The best place for venues that no one else is using: Peerspace.com , Eventective.com and the parks dept

I think he needs to decide what is more important, then. Having a wedding on that particular day or having a perfect wedding with all the bells and whistles. Also, what you want is important, too.

Totally understand. In the same boat because we had to scale back on some of the stuff we wanted (ex. Settling on a plain wedding band instead of one with some real stones, possibly might not get my hair and makeup done) just because of money being tighter than expected right now. I would say prioritize what is important.

Could you keep your date but just push your wedding out a year to January 1, 2022? That would give you more time to plan and save money.

Then schedule it to 2022? I mean if my fiancee forced me to keep up with his unnecessary demands, I would have a serious bone to pick with him. it's also your wedding, and you seem seriously stressed.

Hi Akaisha. I definitely understand the pressure. I was recently engaged and we have set a date for April 2021 (6 months) which is still not a lot of time. I would suggest trying to find an all inclusive venue if possible and have the ceremony and reception there. Also, since you all are looking at a date that's considered not during the high peak timeframe see if they can offer a discount. In addition, most venues will offer a discount if the wedding is on a non-Saturday date as well.
