Ombré hair and updos?

Okay strange question but here goes. I have ombré hair. Right now it is past due for a touch up, so it looks worse than usual, but I’m having a hard time imagining my hair in my updo, because the base of my hair would be brown and the bun part would be blonde. I go for my hair trial BEFORE my color appointment, so even then I won’t be able to really tell what it will look like. I’m considering doing more of a shadow root this time as opposed to my more relaxed ombré, but I’m not sure if I want to change my entire look. I have been blonde all over several times before so I know I can pull off the color, but I love my ombré... So do any of you brides have ombré hair color and plan on doing your hair up? Or did? I would love to see some pictures. I had a very hard time finding any on Pinterest.

I’ve never done the ombré look, but I think if it’s done right it looks very stunning in wedding photos. Just let your stylist know how you’re going to color your hair, and I’m sure she/he will know how to make that work and look the best.

I’ve had ombré hair of varying colors for the past 5 years, and wearing it up is actually my favorite! I think the swirling colors add interest to the look

There is another bride on here that did her hair trial with her ombre and it looked incredible! I think if it's done right it can add a unique twist to a classic look.

I actually love the swirling colors. My main concern is I don't want it to look like I'm wearing a fake blonde hairpiece. Lol.

Long shot, but do you happen to remember who it was? I would love to see pictures of hers. You wouldn't think it would be this hard to find pics when ombre is so popular now, but I can't find hardly anything!

Thank you! I just looked at it and it is beautiful from the sides! But the last picture from the back looks like the bun is just a hairpiece since it's a totally different color and that's what I'm trying to avoid. That did make me feel better though because if I just pulled my ombre up a little higher it would probably look fine! Thank you so much!

Lol for real! Then again, if I go with a shadow root it could just look like I have really grown out highlights when it's pulled back. Can't win for losing. LOL

Yes! And I think because hers is blonde and purple she could totally pull it off as a statement and no one would blink an eye. It really is so pretty. But mine is just brown and blonde and I just cringe at the thought of it looking like I just stuck a blonde hairpiece on my brown hair. LOL.

I have ombre hair but not SUPER ombre. More like "I bleached my hair basically white forever and now I'm trying to grow it out but make it look natural" look?I wore mine half up half down & added extensions. I liked it!

Yours looks so good! I would totally be keeping my ombre if I was wearing it half up. I'm doing an updo though so I'm realllllly leaning towards doing a shadow root for the wedding and then I'll transition back to ombre next year.
