I would say do not worry about your age, you are never too old to have the wedding of your dreams! Do whatever traditions you want!

Awww no no don't be embarrassed! It is still YOUR wedding so you can do whatever the heck you want! Smiley smile I actually like the idea of having both of them walk you down the isle.

Both my parents walked me down the aisle, and they loved it. I was living with them up until I was married so it seemed very natural to me. For me, it's not so much about age as it is about living arrangements. If I were living under a different roof or having a second marriage, I would have wanted to walk alone.

But what do you want? Ask yourself exactly why you want your parents to walk you down the aisle. To fill an obligation? To avoid hurting feelings? Or is it your own desire to follow a tradition, for them to be near you at that moment and hand you over to your Groom? Also ask your parents for their opinions and preferences.

Don't let your age dictate anything! There is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about. I'm also 53. My dad walked me down the aisle and we did a father/daughter dance to "Daddy's Little Girl". I'm so fortunate to still have my dad so why shouldn't we have those special moments? I did the whole big thing. wedding gown, bridal party, you name it. Why shouldn't you have the wedding of your dreams no matter your age?

I think it would be great to be walked down the aisle by your parents. Cherish them! Have whatever kind of wedding you want, for sure.

Oh Girl - 53? I'll be 66 when we get married, and it will be mine and FH's third time around .... that's the charm number, right? LOL Other than no veil & garter and bouquet toss we are pretty much having the "standard" wedding. Why not? It's a huge celebration of courage and of love found. Ceremony and following cocktail hour and reception are all in one venue to accomodate our out of state guests. My sons will walk me down the aisle (as parents are long gone) and FH's daughter will do a reading. Only 2 bridal attendants and groomsmen, and I elected to have the photographer NOT do "wedding prep" pictures as it really isn't going to be that big a deal. Still going to rock out with a DJ, and we have a photobooth for fun. Don't let anyone - ANYONE - tell you your are too old to have the wedding of your dreams!!!

I’m so happy for you. You are not too old to get married or have your dad walk you down the aisle. I would also have both my parents walk me down the aisle, but my mom doesn’t feel comfortable due to walking on crutches due to polio. Do it if it makes you happy!

Happily, age doesn’t define what you can or can’t have at your wedding! Congrats. 🥰

I LOVE the idea of having both your parents walk you! I think that's beautiful.

Congratulations one getting your happily ever after 💛💛

As for colors that go with sage:
    - my favorite combo is sage with shades of dusty pink; this would be great for spring or summer!

    - for fall you could do sage with some terra cotta tones

    - leaning into the sage and adding some wood/brown elements would be beautiful for winter

    - but I also love sage with reddish jewel tones!

So my colors are sage, navy blue/dusty blue, blush and taupe. Sage and the blues will be my main colors with touches of the others. You’re never too old to have a wedding!! As far as both of your parents walking with you that’s super cute. It’s YOUR wedding do what you want not what people tell you or what you think has to be done.
