My FH is younger than I am and while most people say "Oh, who cares about the ages being reversed? It's the 21st century!", most of them will still do a double-take when they realise that the bride is older - even by a few years - than the groom.

However, my FH is 17 years younger than I am. It isn't something we think about, and he never did, but his family was WTH?!? initially until they realised he was serious about me and then when they met me the age difference didn't matter to them. He looks older than he is, and physiologically isn't young due to a condition he has, and I apparently look younger than I am. We look around the same age, mid-30s, according to his mother.

Any other WW brides who are older than their grooms? Is it an issue, especially if the age gap is large (which can be an issue to some people when the man is much older anyway).

I'm older by 3 years never was an issue... You love each other? That's all that matters...

Oh yes the 80s... Since they're currently trendy, my FH will look at someone sporting some awful 80s look that should have stayed dead, look at me and say, "Please tell me you never..." and all I can do is giggle sheepishly and blush!
