Old Navy $1 Flip Flops

I've been waiting for this. Our entire BP is wearing old navy flip flops in white, as FW and I have a thing for them. Woot!

I have it marked on my calendar! I'm going to have some available for our female guests when they want to take their heels off.

I was out Saturday night and a bunch of people that just came from a wedding came to the bar we were at and all the girls had the same flip flops on so it makes me think that it really is a good idea.

I used them for my wedding and people appreciated it. I still have some extras but thank goodness I am getting rid of them little by little. Not may were left over.

For those of you purchasing to have a basket at your rehearsal, how did you decide on qty and sizes?

I haven't decided yet since I haven't mailed out invitations and know how many women are going. I am thinking though maybe like 30 pairs? Mostly 7s and 8s since they are the most common size

I bought some and omg did they get used! The BP used white ones and I used pink, My feet were killing me after the first dance, I'm so glad I bought them for me and the BP.

I estimated on the amount based upon the people i invited. Most were sizes 7-10 and I had some smaller and a few larger. It depends on how well you know your guests. The only sizes i had remaining are the larger sizes (11-12) and a few 7-9.

My sister who worked at Old Navy through many, many $1 flip flop sales recommended this:

The sales can get CRAZY (people would literally crawl under the gate as they were opening the store) so don't stress about getting the exact sizes and colors you want/need. Focus on grabbing the number of pairs you need, and exchange them for your sizes/colors at a later date when there's fewer crazies in the store. They'll honor the $1.00 price. Hope that helps!

FH works for Old Navy (regional security)... the flip flop sale is ridiculous ever year... they have been ramping up for this event for weeks. He says this sale is worse than Black Friday hands down.

If you are planning on going here is my advice... Go EARLY (they sell out by noon... and will be out of flip flops for a while).... bring friends... you can only buy 10 at a time... so if you get a cart and fill it up with flip flops you will have to buy 5 and then get back into line and buy another 5. My FH has in past years kicked people out of the store for not following the 5 pairs max. Also, JCP also has $1 flip flops (but we get a yearly bonus based on Gap Inc's sales.... buy at Old Navy and help me pay for this wedding )

You can also contact the corporate office to buy in bulk. Keep this in mind if you are trying to buy your wedding colors only... on flip flop day they might be out of one color.

We've been slowly picking up 5 or so pairs at a time so i'll be able to miss this craziness. I focused on sized 7,8,9 and got a few pairs in 5,6 and 10s. I'm also being cautious with the amount I'm purchasing since I've been cutting off the price tag so our guest can use them... i.e i won't be able to return any that aren't used.

I went last year, well after the doors opened and I had no problem finding the appropriate sizes nor did they make me get in and out of line over and over. They allowed me to split up my transactions to 5 pair each until I was done.
