Old fashioned wedding

My fiance and I are getting married April 16, 2020. That day is very sentimental to me because it is my Oma and Opa's wedding anniversary. They were married in 1943 on that day. Anyway, we decided that we are going to have an authentic old fashioned handmade wedding. We are not listening to what the wedding industry says is right or the correct way of doing things. We are doing most of our stuff by hand.

We are going to have a very small intimate wedding at a historic bontanical conservatory. We are using what we have at our parents homes for decor and dishes. (Vintage dishes and stemware from the 1930s and 1940s). We will be doing handmade cakes and DIYing our music on the record player.

Is anyone else having an old fashioned wedding? If so what are your plans and ideas?
