Okay for a cake stand

Kristen, on June 19, 2020 at 1:40 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 30
I am trying to somewhat buy items I could past our ceremony. Is this okay for a cake stand for a classic look? The bottom tier is 9 inches. Okay for a cake stand 1

Yes it’s really pretty. Plus no one will notice it anyway. As long as it’s bigger than the size of the bottom tier.

Yes! It’s very pretty and would be perfect for your wedding cake but also something you could use later.

LOL that is exactly. I am trying to think what can I use later and heck even if only $10 I am going to get my money's worth.

Thank you. I want to buy stuff for the day but I want the majority to be something I can use afterwards too. Even the bridal hanger I think I will go with one that has the wording etched rather than the wire part saying bride so it is easier to use for later.

I would suggest asking your wedding cake baker if they provide cake stands before buying anything! Ours provided a lovely cake stand for us to use--I recall we had to give a $25 deposit and we got the deposit back when we returned the cake stand to the bakery after the wedding. Doesn't hurt to ask

I thought about that but we are not having a reception and considering it is a $60 delivery fee since our venue is quite far from them I felt they may charge more to pick it up and I did not want to have to drop off lol. This was $10 at Marshall's lol.

If you love the look then go for it. Talk to your baker and make sure that it will be the right size.

The plate is 10 in it seems and my bottom tier is a 9 inch so just barely. Only a two tier so should not be too heavy but I will double check. Smiley smile
