Marie
Dedicated April 2020

Oh crap moment.

Marie, on January 27, 2020 at 3:59 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
So I’m finally packing up our invites and they should be going out tomorrow. I feel like I’ve looked at these a million times, showed them to my fiancé, my mom, my matron of honor to be sure they looked good and were accurate. And no one pointed this out...
Today I realize it says “Joseph and Marie invite you to share in their wedding day, Saturday April 25, 3 o’clock, at the Memphis Botanic Gardens, Memphis”.
There isn’t an address for the Gardens. How bad is this?? I’m trying to avoid ordering another round of invites to fix this. Is it okay? People will google the address right?? Omg I can’t believe I’ve done this. Please tell me your thoughts!

I would definitely reprint with an address unless you want tons of people calling to ask you the address lol. Or risk someone showing up to the wrong place.

Where did you order the invitations from? Some places may reprint with the corrections for free.
You’re also still 12 weeks away so you have time!

    First. Take a deep breath.
Do you have a wedding website?
Is your wedding website on the invite? If the previous 2 answers are yes, problem solved. Put it on the website.
Another choice: we printed business card sized cards with our reception address on it instead of doing a details card. 100 business cards for $25ish.

True. I mean I have the address on our save the date FB page, and on the wedding site. And when I google the address there’s only one so how could people get it wrong??

You might be able to get away with including some type of details card, so you don't have to reprint the invitations. That's probably what I would do to avoid the cost of buying invitations again. It can even be something you print on a business card type of thing. It doesn't need to be fancy.

Yes we have a wedding website but no the wedding site URL is not on the invite. It’s on the Save the Date FB page.
Thanks for the business card suggestion. We printed business cards to include w the invite already. I guess we could do another.

    So we already have:
Invite, rsvp card, rsvp envelope, hotels card, a business card w a note that reads “please expect a ten minute stroll through the gardens”. My fiancé is picking up the business cards today. Maybe I can call to cancel and re-do the card to have both notes.

If you have the budget for it I would try to get them reprinted so there isn't any room for a mix up on the location. Like Gen said maybe the place you got them printed will give them to you or maybe even a discount.

We don't have the address on our invitations. Instead, we also printed a business card that says "For more information on our wedding and the RSVP, please visit our wedding website". This way, people have to go to the website either way and we have the full run-down of address, parking, etc. all in one place.

I got invited to a wedding at a winery that had the name of the winery and no address. It was on their website though. Didn’t seem like a big deal to me
