Officiants.

They should have a certificate. My officiant showed us his. We got our marriage license on Friday and there was this insert about how the person has to be a minister, or government official like mayor. Pa is so annoying.

We found our officiant on thumb tack. I would trust one that I find on here. As with any advertising, the officiant had to pay to get advertised here. No one who isn't legit would pay for that. It would be a waste of money.

You should be able to verify with the officer themselves. They would have a certificate and they would need to be able to notarize. I was also having trouble finding someone that I trusted. However, my fiancé’s dad became ordained and has all the documents he needs so he is going to do our ceremony. If you’re having trouble finding someone you like a trust, maybe look into having someone that knows the both of you to do it. I don’t know how much that would cost as i have never done it before myself but if you have someone who is willing to do it and you trust them, it might be something special to have for your wedding day.
