Officiants

You can do it whenever you want! Just reach out to them and see what their policies are. We knew we wanted to do donuts instead of cake so I reached out to the place we wanted them from but they wont sit down and discuss anything until 6 months before. Every place is different.

I am getting married in May 2020 and have my officiant and florist. I live in DC and am getting married in Philadelphia but my parents and officiant live another hour north of Philly. We just did our first premarital counseling session over MDW because we have to plan them around our trips home. We booked the florist because we had a free weekend and could visit them. I think you can do whatever you want on your schedule, but officiants can obviously one do one wedding a day and my florist inst doing any other big weddings on my weekend, so I would check sooner than later. I don't think anything is too soon to do in planning. if you found the right vendor and have looked around then book it if you feel it is right!

No, it's not too early at all. In fact, depending on your area, florists especially might book early as well. So, you'd be smart to start researching those, and see about getting pricing and availability.

I am also getting married in April 2020 and you should just go at your own pace. If you are already looking/talking with certain vendors feel free to book them. This site can be stressful when you see other people getting married the same month and year as you but they have so much more done. I recommend looking at vendors and any other wedding needs at your own pace. Don't stress and take your time! You still have plenty of time to book both. I personally try to stick to the Wedding Wire checklist since it's already written down for me as a guide to avoid getting stressed out.
