Hey everyone! We wanted a special way to include my uncle and decided to ask him to officiate the wedding! We are going to lunch with him in a few weeks, and I am not creative. Any ideas on how to creatively ask him? Thanks!

Maybe give him a gift like a hat or something you would like him to wear as the officiant. Or a letter to him asking him and telling him why you guys chose him.

Hey Kaitlin! This is a gorgeous way to honor your uncle and involve him in your wedding. Does he have experience officiating weddings?
I think a small gift as a token to mark the occasion or perhaps a meaningful letter would suffice. It will be a special moment anyway, so you don’t want to get anything that will overshadow that.

I am still looking for an officiant. I dont really want to pay $300-$500 for just a stranger.
I would love to ask my brother but he is not 100% on board of me marrying my FH.

Maybe something similar to a proposal box like you'd do for your wedding party. I'm sure Pinterest has a ton of great ideas.
Even if you do something as simple as an old picture of the 2 of you together & find a nice frame. Just the actual idea of asking him might be enough...but I definitely understand wanting to add something to the moment.
