Back home a priest is often invited to the reception for dinner and they eat the same as everyone else. We are having a buffet dinner but the venue asks how many vendor meals we need which is a choice of three things they can pick themselves but is it the same over here ? Is the pastor or officiant classed as a reception guest or do they just head off after the ceremony?

Sorry I know it's probably a silly questions

My officiant was a hired vendor, so we did not invite her to stay for our reception.
