Are you suppose to invite your officiant to your bridal shower?

I think you're a little confused about terminology here. A bridal party is a group of people that stand up with you at your wedding. Do you mean reception? The party after the ceremony?

ETA: Yes, you should extend an invite to your officiant for the reception.

No I'm talking about the bridal shower. The officiant is going to be at ceremony and I sent her an invitation so that she could mail back her selection- plate choice.

No, your officiant doesn't get invited to your bridal shower.

I think it would be odd to invite your officiant. It is weird to expect a gift (which is the purpose of a shower) from a paid professional.

I think it all depends if you have a close relationship with her or him. If you don't know who it is them in my opinion is not necessary to send an invitation to your bridal party

Unless you are super close with them then maybe but other wise..... I would think maybe you're just trying to get an extra gift....

I attended one wedding shower, but the bride was already a friend of mine (yes, we had a contract for the ceremony).

I think it's weird enough having them come to the reception.

My officiant is a good friend of mine, so she was invited to mine.

If you know them personally, and would other wise invite them as a friend to the wedding if they weren't providing their service then yes

If you're hiring then just to do that then no

That's a weird question... No you don't. Its not appropriate. Bridal showers are for your close friends and family.

I think if you are close to your officiant or if you have someone other than a pro doing it, like a friend, then I would send an invitation. If its a pro that you hired I wouldn't invite them.
