Christina, on May 7, 2020 at 5:14 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7
Well it happened. My July 25 2020 wedding got Postponed today and my honeymoon cruise is cancelled. We are going to get married legally on July 25 but party will be moved to July 3 2021.

I’ve cried my eyes out but I’m trying to find the positives in this.
I get two dresses Two celebrations More time to planMore money to save
Just a few of my positives. Anyone else looking into positives ?

I’m sorry 😢what state are you in? Did you call it or your venue? Just curious because we may be postponing too, we are August.

We're hoping to do similar. We're hoping to get married this summer as planned (ours was 7/11). Restaurants aren't open yet though in my area, and I'm not really sure when they'll open. We want to have a proper celebration, so we're waiting for that. I'm trying to look at it the same way as you. I just got my second dress yesterday, and it's so gorgeous! There's also more time to lose weight/tone up, as I didn't get to go to the gym as planned (obviously). And more time to save for things we really wanted to have in our wedding!

I feel your pain!! My wedding was June 5th, got postponed to August (hoping we can still have it then) I ordered a dress off of lulus.com and we are still having our wedding on our original date with our closest family in the back yard. There will be about 18 people (over the 10 that's allowed, dont care) I was extremely upset... i cried a lot. But we will still be married, and that's what mainly counts! Honeymoon was also cancelled, cruise as well. So we are doing Disney in october and then a cruise next year. It will be okay!!

I'm sorry! It's been a rough spring for all of us, that's for sure.

One positive I've found is the weather might not be what you wanted this year. We're supposed to get married this weekend. We planned to have our ceremony outside, since it's usually in the high 60s or low 70s this time of year. Now we've got this late polar vortex and it might not even hit 50 tomorrow. Since we've had to postpone I'm not stressing about the weather and having to decide if we need to use our backup location. Instead I'm actually happy it's not going to be a nice day Smiley laugh
