October ny brides

Lindsey , on August 14, 2020 at 12:23 PM Posted in New York Planning 0 7
Is anyone getting married this October in New York? We are supposed to be getting married on 10/2/2020 but right now the venue is only allowing 50 people. The venue told us they should know more info in the next week or so but this is really stressing me out as we have already postponed several times( original date was 4-24-20) I know other venues around the area are taking the extra step and providing tents for couples so they can hold 150 outdoors but our venue hasn’t offered that yet.

We are still getting married at the courthouse on 10/10/20 but we has to postpone the reception till next year Feb. We’re just doing a dinner afterwards. 14 people. Not what I envisioned would happen but trying to make the most of it. Hoping the total number of people allowed will change by then!

That’s terrible! I was talking to my florist and she just did a wedding under a tent in NJ and they were allowed 150 at least

Hopefully that will change in the next few weeks but either way you will make the best of it!

I'm in NY- original date of 10/25/2020. We had to postpone because NY still has the limit of 50 guests, and it doesn't matter if it is indoors OR outdoors. There's also several other restrictions that my venue let me know about, imposed by the NYS Liquor Authority. Also, in NY, your make-up artist cannot allow you to take your mask of to do full-face make-up. Among others Smiley sad

So we postponed to next Summer. It's ridiculous.

We already moved our date from June to 10/17/2020. We too live in NY (Upstate area) and were told yesterday there is no dancing allowed at weddings. As much as that is a disappointment to us we are moving forward. It was too stressful when we changed the date the first time.
