October Brides!!

Amber, on April 5, 2020 at 10:54 AM Posted in Planning 1 25

Our glorious day of matrimony is Sunday, October 11, 2020!

Any other October 2020 brides browsing WW at the moment??

I just wanted to share some insight and envision of our day!!

We’re tying the knot at a simple ranch venue with over 300 acres of rolling hill country!

Theme: Rustic

Color scheme: Burgundy, rust, blush pink and sage green.

Centerpieces: Ball mason jars with fairy lights, Eucalyptus and ivory baby’s breath.

My bouquet: Burgundy and ivory roses with eucalyptus and ivory with light pink baby’s breath. I’ll have a rust colored terracotta ribbon attached. I may add another type of flower but not sure yet! My daughter who is 9, will serve as my Maid of Honor, so I’m thinking of doing a mini version of my bouquet for her.

Boutonnières for my fiancé and his son will be eucalyptus and ivory and pink Baby’s Breath.

We’re doing mini naked cakes instead of one large cake..We will display them on a rustic round 3 layer cupcake tower.

We’re doing ivory table cloths with sage green and rust terracotta table runners.

For food, we’re doing chicken salad crescent sandwiches along with a fruit and nut bar. We will serve sweet tea, water and lemonade.

Guest favors: Wooden shot glasses.

Any feedback/recommendations greatly appreciated!

Congratulations to everyone and thoughts and prayers to all affected by COVID-19!!

My wedding date was originally March 28th but due to the Covid-19 I had to reschedule. We picked October 31st!

Sounds beautiful!! All the details will come together nicely.

Our wedding is schedule for 10.10.2020 at a venue here in Las Vegas. The ceremony is outdoors in their garden at 11:00am. Reception follows inside their ballroom at noon. We are doing greys, silver and ivory with pops Tiffany Blue. We added a little vintage touch; vintage mirror welcome sign, ornate picture frames for photos & other signs, vintage cake cutting set & roasting glass for us, lace damask linens, love bird cake topper. Low overflowing floral centerpieces. Mostly whites and creams, some pale purple.

We’re getting married 10.10.2020. We’re doing a vintage literary theme with books as favors (they will double as decor) and vintage lanterns and typewriters as decor. Our colors are plum and grey with gold accents.

10/24/20! We are having a private ceremony on a different day. The reception is in a hall (but it has an outdoor option, so I haven't decided in or out yet). It's a brunch reception. It's also dry so we'll have a coffee bar, iced tea, juices, sparkling cider, etc.
The colors are peacock (purple, real, blue, green).
The centerpieces will have lanterns, candles, square vases. I haven't quite figured it out.

I’m also getting married October 11, 2020!! And trying to stay hopeful that it will actually happen. People have been getting in my head about how this will be back in the fall with a vengeance and that I should start thinking about a backup. But I am trying to stay positive and take it day by day.

We are getting married at a lake front venue. Our ceremony will be on the lake with the gorgeous foliage in the background. My colors are burgundy, blush and ivory. Bridesmaids dresses are burgundy. Our theme is rustic. The reception will be set up with half farmhouse tables with no tablecloths and half oval tables with tablecloths. Unsure on the color of the lines yet. Possibly a champagne color. Still deciding on exact centerpieces. I came up with some ideas with my florist and he will build me samples at some point this summer.
Your wedding and all the details sound beautiful!!

My big day is set for 10.24.20! Like some of you, I’m feeling really anxious about what the world will look like in October. As of now, we have a rustic ceremony set to take place outside and a beautiful barn venue for the reception. It’s in a mountainous area and should look very autumnal. My bridesmaids are wearing steel blue and the guys will swear navy. I’m so excited. I’ve planned the wedding of my dreams, and I’ll be really devastated if we have to postpone. Wishing all of you good vibes during this time ❤️

    Love! Love! Love!

We’re getting married October 3rd at an Airbnb. It’s in a Scandinavian styled bungalow on a property with a lawn that opens up to a river with many trees and wooded areas. We’re having a low key, intimate event with our closest friends and family.
My Sensei who is a Zen Buddhist Priest will guide us in a more traditional Zen union. We are also integrating our guests as much as Possible having them bring flowers to the altar for offerings, and they will also bless our rings and set an intention.

The style will be vintage with some natural elements. Think moss, ferns with minimal florals.
Our reception will be held at a local bakery/cafe with more natural elements and celestial elements. Think of being outdoors under the night sky. We were also inspired by old Hollywood paper moons and will attempt to make our own paper moon.
Colors are midnight blue, green, champagne & gold.

We have the same date and I'm already getting a little antsy about if I should start thinking about postponing. Fingers crossed everybody is washing their hands and staying at home so that by October we're in the clear!

I know!! I’m trying to see how things play out. Once July rolls around I’ll probably start to get more freaked out if things haven’t changed. Congratulations to you, I hope we get married on the same day!

    Your venue sounds amazing!!

Our wedding is October 3, 2020!

We will be doing a travel theme because FH and I love to travel together.

We are getting married at a historic chapel right next to Lake Michigan.

Our ceremony will be upstairs at a Public Market building.

We will be doing food stations from various different cuisines (American, Mexican, Mediterranean)

Our card box is an old suitcase.

Our centerpieces are paper flowers I made out of maps. They will be in glittery gold vases. Each table will be named after somewhere we have traveled together. The name of each city is on an airplane-shaped piece of paper. Each centerpiece will have 3 to 4 pictures of us at the destination the table is named after.

Our colors are burgundy, navy, and gold.

Bridesmaids will be in long burgundy dresses and groomsmen will be in navy suits.
