October brides 10/17/2020

Any October brides worried about your venue canceling or moving your date back? I know it’s still early but everything seems to be taking long than they expected.

Our date is this Fall and we’re just holding tight, hoping for the best. I have contacted our vendors though, just to make sure our deposits would be transferral to another date in case we are forced to reschedule.

My best friends wedding is late September and she doesn’t seem worried or anything about that.

I postponed my April wedding to October 17 so I hope we don’t have to change anything again!!
I think we should be good by then. 😊

We are getting married 10.10.2020 and have no intention of postponing as of right now. It’s way to early to make that call and many spring/ early summer couples are postponing to the fall.

Our date is 10.23.2020. We have no intentions on cancelling or moving our date. It seems way to early to even think of that

I'm sorry you're stuck making a tough choice and worrying. We're seeing most October couples are holding strong and not changing any plans just yet. I hope there will be some more clarity for you soon and you don't spend too much time stressing!

Good luck to you and stay as calm and positive as you can!

No, I'm not worried about if affecting my 10/3/2020 wedding date.

The main thing it may affect is the suits I want the men to wear. They are purchasing suits that require them to be ordered at least 4 months in advance and none of them have been measured or ordered yet. We were planning on them ordering the first week in May. Worst case scenario, they will have to rent (I do not like the shade of navy that the rentals come in from our local suit shop). However, if it comes down to rental navy or nothing, it will have to work!

We were 10/10 but moved it to 10/17. My fiancé and I refuse to push it any later than that

We are 10/17 and our venue has offered to refund us or reschedule us. We are likely going to reschedule to sometime in 2021 since things will take a long while to go back to normal here in California.

@Danielle Our venue and vendors are in California also but thankfully allowing us to cancel and be refunded up to two weeks to the date of the wedding. Thats awesome though for them to reach out to you.

Well that’s great to hear! I know a lot of brides are getting married in the fall and want to make sure everything is clear before they just get married and out others at risk.
