I hope this helps a few brides.

I live in California and being in the same position as many with regard to stress and the unknown, my fiancé and I recently had a meeting with my venue located in Glendale, CA.
The venue advised they are hopeful with my original wedding date and they do not expect us to postpone. As of July 4, they will get more news and information about capacity and so fourth.
Wedding guest count 220Venue is indoors.
Regardless, I have already started planning on how to minimize my guest list and hopefully keep it at 200. I don't see anyway to get it below 200. So this is the only part that has me nervous. The venue made us pay $8,000 but stated it was refundable. All together we have paid them $10,000. So if the wedding doesn't happen this year, we might downsize completely and just have an intimate wedding with our families.
Im hopeful.

Hi Desiree! Our wedding venue is in Simi Valley, and we postponed our June 20, 2020 wedding to October 16, 2020. I am confident that by October things will be much better than they are now. My guest list is much smaller than yours though. We are around 110 guests, and our venue is outdoors with lots of space for anyone concerned about social distancing.

But we are actually going to get legally married on June 20, 2020 because I want my anniversary to be on that date, and I just couldn't pick another date to be married on. I have always envisioned a June wedding, so while I cannot have the wedding this month, I can still be legally married like I intended. Our wedding in October will be our celebration. We will do all the traditional things for the first time like exchanging vows, wearing our wedding attire, and all that good stuff Smiley smile I hope I do not have to postpone again!

Thanks for sharing Desiree!! That's so helpful that your venue gave you a solid date and expectation of when you can get their next operating update! Try to commit to not worrying about things again until then. Smiley heart
