October 2020 Brides

I know we are still five months out but my FH and I decided on a back up date. We know we don't want to change seasons so we ended up going for October 2021 if things don't work out. I still am hopeful we will be able to get married this October but he doesn't want to if we have to cut our guest list down. We are afraid of hurting family and friends feelings with being selective. He is very close with all his friends and has a lot. I only have a small amount of friends that I am close to and most of them are in my party. Is anyone else in this situation and what are your thoughts of back up dates?

I’m also getting married in October. We decided if we can’t have a normal wedding with our 140 guests, we will elope and have a private ceremony with our closest family & friends this October . Then postpone the reception for October 2021

Thanks for the input! Hopefully our weddings will happen! I like that idea as well. We talked about about having a small ceremony with our family and wedding party then reception later but we decided not to seperate it. We have been engaged already for three years due to me being in school, I wanted to finish college first. Which I am proudly graduating this June and I am still hoping to be married this year. Two huge events in one year is something I want to celebrate. 😊
