October 17th ! Picking up the dress this Friday

April bride here- getting 1st alterations done in January. Hopefully they’ll tell me what to expect at that time.

October 16th bride here! That is awesome! I hope mine fits perfectly too. I pick it up Wednesday and I can’t wait! 10 days to go!!!

I think it depends but I have heard two. I was going to have it done at David's Bridal and went with someone else but even then they said there was a first fitting then a second one and that is it ha ha. Just as well she will steam my dress to get rid of the wrinkles and I want my dress out of the house so the FH does not see. Doubt he would look but still just in case.

I actually picked up my dress 2 months ago after 3 fittings. It will be a little loose since I lost 15#'s but depending on how I wake up Saturday morning (bloated or not), it could be perfect.

Its at my FMIL's house-didn't want the temptation of showing him the dress! I'm having a tummy tuck next week & am hoping the swelling will have gone down by January.

I’d keep asking him “are you sure you don’t want to see it?”, “are you positive you don’t want to see the shade of gray I’m talking about?” or “I wish I could show you what I’m talking about as far as the middle of my dress is concerned...” I’d be a huge pain in the rear!
