Obsessing over weather!

Ginger, on June 14, 2019 at 10:42 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 7
We are having our ceremony next Friday at a beach by a lighthouse. I know it can change 12 times until then, but I’m obsessing and stressing. Talk me off the ledge. This is normal, right? We gave a plan B, but will be heartbroken if it doesn’t work out.Smiley sad

I’m pretty sure all of us with outdoors as our preference will be right where you are soon enough, if we haven’t been there already! I know I will come early October. Deep breaths and try to let go of the outcome... it will be exactly how it’s supposed to be and it will be perfect. You’re marrying your soulmate 💗. Congrats! Try to stay present and enjoy your last few days as fiancés! Maybe go on a special date to take your mind off of it, or kick up the fitness routine, spend time with your girlfriends and pamper yourself! You’ve worked so hard to get to where you are now.. you deserve some pampering!

Well, the way I see it.... there’s no reason to stress over things you can’t control. Plus you have a Plan B. So ultimately you’ll marry your husband rain of shine... THATS what’s important.

I am kind of in the same boat.. getting married in 10 days and in a place where the weather can go from sunny to snowy or rainy all in one day. I am taking our photos so I'm wondering about the weather too.

You have a plan B, which is great. Have confidence in that and while it's natural to anticipate disappointment, you don't know that it will not work out so try to let go. Focus on your partner, your dress.. something that is tangible and that you can actually see, hear, touch, etc.

Smiley smile everything will work out fine! If you have plan B then it'll be ok because at the end of the day it's about your union even if things aren't perfect for the event of it

I completely understand! My ceremony is supposed to be outside in a beautiful garden and last year (I know that means nothing for this year) it rained on that weekend so that has me paranoid. Plus Upstate NY weather is very unpredictable in late September. Anyway you're feelings are completely normal and I Hope everything works out for you!

They really have no idea this far in advance! I've read articles that say meteorologists have admitted they really have no idea of the specific daily forecast beyond 3-4 days in advance... anything beyond that is just a guess of the general trend that the weather will go in.

All week before our wedding they were saying rain all day. Even the night before, it said rain all day. I woke up to THE most perfect mid-70s and partly cloudy day, and it started drizzling literally as our photographer took our LAST picture of the day.

Don't stress yourself out over something you can't control... especially something hypothetical! Do yourself a favor and just stop looking at the forecast. Seriously, they have no idea what's going to happen, not even the night before, as was proven in my case!

We all stress over the weather as a bride, I get it but as my FH tells me over and over again you can't stress over what you can't control. Concentrate on being the best you that day and just let the weather do what it is going to do.
