We are allowed to have real candles which we love. And if anything requires being put together we just have to pay a $250 fee. Really every venue has their own rules.

Hey! Fellow nyc bride here and my fiancé and I are diy-inch our centerpieces and cancelled the 1700 dollar flowers. We decided on floral wreaths and all the materials cost 400 which was the deposit we got refunded. Our venues restrictions are no glitter or confetti. Otherwise we have free rage. The only down side of doing your own decor is that you’re responsible for clean up and taking it all home. We’re just trying to come up with a plan for that. But we are thinking of having the dj announce that they can take centerpieces. For some reason my family loves taking centerpieces home so this may work for us.
