Hi. I’m sure most of us are aware of the NY governors strict wedding guidelines.. just curious how many plan to still get married with a small ceremony and plan to have a reception next year? Even tho #s here in NY continue to decrease we still have very strict wedding guidelines🤷🏽‍♀️. If you did get married what did you do after your small ceremony? Ideas?

I was originally supposed to get married this October in the Hudson Valley region, but we decided to postpone everything to October next year. If we had it this year, we would have had to change so much about our wedding to fit with the restrictions. We always wanted to have a bigger wedding, so we decided waiting it out was best for us.

We had to postpone back in May to our new date August 23rd (10 more days!). We also decided to cancel our big wedding & do something small with our family. We are in the Dallas area.
    Best wishes to you!!

I was due to be married in western NY on 9/6. We ended up postponing a few weeks ago to next summer. Still planning a very small ceremony for our original date at one of our favorite parks with dinner after, and a "vow renewal"/celebration with some sort of ceremony in July '21. We invited about 20ish people. We couldn't take the restrictions and stress anymore, and we also found out that our venue lost their liquor license a few days ago. Yikes!

I had a backyard wedding and postponed my party to next year. My backyard option was the least restrictive to get married on my original date.

Living in NYC but getting married in Westchester. We postponed our reception to next February but are still doing a courthouse ceremony with just out immediate family on our original date. So about 11 people total. We won’t be doing a vow renewal in Feb just the reception

Is your wedding at a venue or are you doing an outdoor wedding?
