NWR: My brother just got his heart broken for the first time.

My younger brother was dating a girl for 14 months, and she just broke up with him today. It's his first girlfriend, and he's absolutely devastated, poor kid (He's only 19).

I feel so bad for him, I remember the first time my heart was broken, and it really sucks. I know that he'll be fine, but I don't want to belittle the feelings for him, I know it hurts. I wish I wasn't so far away from him, he's back in the UK.

Just needed to share this.

Aww poor guy, it is hard at first but he will look back and be glad that she did that before they end up marrying each others and end up being divorced.

Nothing can really console him now, but as Miss Cupcake said one day when he meets exactly the right girl, he will look back and realize that was the breakup was truly a cloud with a silver lining.

I remember my brothers 1st broken heart too, oh my gosh it was a juicy situation (involved the gf kissing my other brother etc) and he was devastated. It was sad not being able to do something to make it easier for him, but its part of life and growing up and hes a better man today for it.

Aww, I remember when this happened to my brother, too. It's heartbreaking, you want to protect him, but everyone has to go through it at one point or another. I know how you feel! I hope he has better luck than mine, he hasn't been with anyone since and it's been five years.
