NWR - Is it okay to wear jeans to a bachelorette party?

I don't really own any "going out" clothes. I have a few dresses - but they are mostly just summery/sundress type things. Not really ideal for a night out in a downtown area.

Would jeans and a fancy top be okay?

I don't own/wear heels either so I was thinking flats, dark jeans, and this sort of ruffly/fancy sleeveless top (has a little sparkle to it) and a shrug.

I asked another girl if that was too casual and she said "It should be okay. I'm sure someone else will wear jeans too."

I'm pretty much only going for the dinner portion of the evening. They are going bar hopping afterwards and I cannot afford that nor can I stay out that late. I have a 2 hour drive home and have to get up early because my own bridal shower is tomorrow

I have to leave my house in about an hour and a half and I hadn't even questioned my choice until about 10 minutes ago. lol.

What do you all think?

I feel really dumb for asking this. LOL

Jeans is def ok especially if youre just doing the dinner..maybe add some nice jewelry with it :-) have fun!

Jeans are fine!! If you dress them up with a nice shirt, which you said you were planning on, you'll still look great. Not everyone is into having dresses for all occasions, so it's not weird to wear jeans. Plus if you're only going to dinner and not bar hopping, jeans are even more fine. Wear what you're comfortable in.
Oh and have fun at your bridal shower tomorrow!

Ahhh thanks guys I was hoping that would be the answer because like I said - I definitely don't have a going out type dress.

And besides, I'm not lookin' to pick up any guys or anything so who the heck am I trying to impress? LOL

I definitely plan to dress the jeans up a bit. It's just nice to hear that's not too abnormal! lol.

Not abnormal at all! Especially if they are dark wash, then they're easy enough to dress up! Unless the restaurant has a strict dress code.

Have fun at the bachelorette and at your shower!

Well, I don't think like that. For me if a person feels comfortable on what He/She wear than nothing matter. I like my best bootcut jeans very much. And i think it make me feel comfortable.
