NWR: Has anyone tried those waist trainers?

Shaquaya, on May 15, 2014 at 12:37 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 25

I've seen people talking about them but I hear they're kind of expensive. My friend from church said she ordered hers from an Instagram seller for $49.95. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried it & seen results. When people have them on they looked really sucked in & shaped like an hour glass lol

I have no idea what those are but from what you described, I would imagine a steel-boned corset would do the same. Granted, a good one is more expensive, but I know waist cinching that way yields results. It takes time though, its definitely not an overnight fix.

One of my friends did! It takes a lot of time. You wear it everyday for a specific period of time, that steadily increases. It can hurt but the results for my friend was awesome!

ETA: and as the time increases you also make it tighter.

@FMElliot a lot of time like a few months? I saw a girl who switched sizes after about 6 weeks (she went to a smaller sized waist trainer). I just wanna know if it's worth the money

I have one that I got.from wal mart. It has different "tightening" levels. I usually wear it when I go to the gym. It makes you sweat and it holds your core muscles tight. I have seen results, but I do agree it is not.an overnight thing. When I was in ballet years ago, we were taught to keep our stomachs tight, so my stomach was always flat as a board, without a sit.up or crunch. Of.course, you cant keep it tight when you are pregnant, lol so after I had.my daughter my.kangaroo.pouch made me depressed. DH bought me one of the waist trainers about a year ago, and he can always tell when I have been wearing it and when I haven't.

ETA: I think it is worth it. I need a smaller one now, I have just been too lazy to get a new one.

Chantel!!!! Hey girl lol...I didn't know they sold them at Walmart! I'm definitely gonna look there also. My son will be 9 so I can't even still blame my kangaroo pouch on him lol. I just like to snack but this gut is the only thing that bothers me, other than that I like my weight.

I don't know what this is, but it sounds like a corset. As a person who loves steel boned corsets, I would recommend just doing that! You can get them pretty inexpensively at orchardcorset.com (Make sure you get the steel boned ones), and just start wearing them (you can do it under your clothes, and gradually pulling tighter over time). I have never done it because I naturally have quite a severe hourglass figure, but I know some people who have done it and like it. Of course, no matter what, waist training probably isn't the best for your health, but they liken it to wearing high heels in this article:

And here is a blog about the misconceptions:

I hear you. I loved my body so much when my.stomach was flat. Now, I am.trying to.get this gut in check. I saw some of my wedding pics I swear I thought I was pregnant. Ugh! But I do understand why it may have health risks cause I swear there are times I literally thought I could feel my organs being pressed together. So I wouldnt recommend wearing it for like.an all day, all night event, but.maybe 30 minutes to am hour a day should be cool. Put.it on while you clean the house, or workout

I waist train daily for 8 hours. It's been 4 weeks now and I have lost a total of 3 1/2 inches. It curves your appetite and straightens your posture. I use other products that I sell as well. 4 more inches to go.

O and I purchased it from eBay for $9.

I cut out fried foods and a lot of unhealthy foods. I mostly eat seafood, chicken, fruits and veggies. It was hard at the beginning but now I am used to it. I don't even eat sweets anymore and I love me a good cupcake.
