NWR- happy tail syndrome

AlmostMrsE, on September 17, 2016 at 1:13 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14

Do any other pitbull moms or furbaby moms in general know this struggle?! It cost us $230 for them to wrap it the first time his tail "exploded". This time my lovely uncle came to the rescue and wrapped it for me, because of course it happened when daddy wasn't home and I couldn't pull myself together lol. He wasn't even in pain I was just being a baby.

Gets me every time even though I know it's from his tail and he's not bleeding on his sides

Holy shit. I have two bullies and never heard of this. One was born with a nub and the other doesn't wag that hard. Poor baby!

I've had coworkers that have had this happen a few times to their dogs. I'm honestly amazed that it hasn't happened to mine, he's an aggressive tail wagger - it's like a lead pipe when it hits you.

I'm sorry your furbaby is hurt, that has to be so painful for him! And you know that they can't stop themselves, they know it hurts but they get so excited that they start wagging their tail anyway. Poor thing. Smiley sad

It can be amputated if there's a continuing issue.

The only thing that I've heard is the wrapping (after the fact) and having it amputated if it's extreme.

Good luck. It's tough. Especially when they break things with their tails.
