Nurses/healthcare ladies - Nails?

Sydney, on October 6, 2018 at 12:02 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7
Any type of acrylic/fake nails obviously aren't allowed in my clinic (and I'm assuming most others) so I'm looking for ideas of short, removable styles or polish! What is anyone else doing?

Kiss makes some really nice press-ons called Impress. I've worn them before and gotten tons of compliments and they LAST! They're available at any chain grocery store or I'm sure Target would carry them too.

Are you allowed to wear nail polish to work? I have NEVER been one to do anything with my finger nails and they were always a mess. In anticipation of daughter's wedding, I decided to try to work on some lifelong bad -- and embarrassing -- nail habits (e.g., biting, picking cuticles, etc.) and started getting them done at the beginning of the summer. I tried gel polish for the first time a couple months ago and feel like it's a miracle! I have her cut my natural nails short and then choose a pale natural pink polish. It looks perfect for 3 weeks and just has to be redone to account for nail growth. In a relatively short amount of time, I've broken some 50-yr old bad habits and my hands look completely different!

I’ve never gotten my nails done before and I don’t like to wear them long ( also work in a hospital) but I got a no chip manicure and it was great! Lasted all the way through the honeymoon

I used a gel polish about 3 days before the wedding and it lasted all through the honeymoon without chipping

Hi Sydney! Are you able to wear non-chipping polishes at your place of work? I highly recommend looking into SNS dipping powder! I use this personally, and I can get a good 3 1/2 weeks out of one manicure! They don't chip or lift, and look amazing! Also, it's not made with acrylic materials and is really easy to get done!

I am simply getting my nails done with normal polish the day of, and it will be off before I return to work. Boring, but that's my plan.
