Nude underlay

Alyssa, on September 12, 2021 at 8:52 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
I am in love with a wedding dress I tried on. The store didn’t have the greatest lighting but I’m scared it’ll photograph weird day off with the underlay not being ivory. Can anyone give input on if it’ll photograph weird or not? Also why nude underlay instead of all ivory? Thanks 😊 Nude underlay 1

I think it looks stunning. Usually, dresses have the option of what colour of underlay you purchase. Often the choice will be nude, moscato/blush, and ivory. But, others won't have an option - in this case, ivory on ivory would make it much harder to see the beautiful embroidered details. There needs to be some distinction between the two colours to emphasize the designs.

I don't think there will be any issue with it photographing 'weird' as many dresses have nude underlays. What matters if if YOU like it. If you don't like the nude underlay then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

I personally prefer the nude/champagne underlay because the ivory lace details stand out more. It's totally a personal preference, but non-ivory underlays have become pretty popular.

I tried on a dress with an underlay that was closer to champagne and just like this it was gorgeous but I didn't want the dress to look dark or off in the pictures so i went with something else. Maybe see if it comes in ivory but this is absolutely stunning on you

It’ll look amazing! I actually got a similar dress with a blush underlay. Funnily enough, when I was trying on dresses, the bridal consultant gave me a dress to try that I didn’t like and it ended up being the same dress but with the ivory underlay! It looked completely different and you couldn’t see any of the sequins or details. The nude underlay helps that top layer pop and itll look great!

It’s gorgeous! I love a nude underlay more be the lace design pops more and it looks more modern and romantic to me than all ivory/white. But it’s just a personal preference! Every bride should choose the combo that fits her skin tone the best.

I’m in favor of the nude underlay and it will only look weird if you feel weird in it.

I think it'll photograph BEAUTIFULLY! For what it's worth, I tried on a dress with a nude underlay that I was strongly considering, and the consultant specifically pointed out that dresses with nude underlay end up photographing extra gorgeously. "It just makes everything POP even more!" (Her words!)
