Not sure what to do

Future Mrs. Lowder, on April 20, 2020 at 11:39 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
Hey y’all..
So, my wedding is in December and when I was originally looking at dresses I wanted something with sleeves for two reasons ( I don’t want to be cold b/c the entire wedding is outdoors and I’m self conscious about my arms). When I went dress shopping the dress I fell in love with and got doesn’t have sleeves. It’s very full at the bottom so my legs getting cold isn’t going to be a problem. What I’m worried about is my arms. When I was looking at prices, the cost to add sleeves was way too expensive and my dress has no lace so I feel that it would look a little off to add sleeves. I’ve looked into other options like faux fur wraps but they don’t seem to match our rustic/ country theme too well. I found a picture on Pinterest that I like for the reception but with the added camouflage piece
around the middle of the dress I’m worried no one will be able to see that detail (which was something I had to have added to any dress I got). I’ll post the picture below as well as my dress. I’d like to do something that will still show mostly the entire dress. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what to do about this? Not sure what to do 1Not sure what to do 2

Have you looked at boleros? I can't imagine you'll want to see your beautiful dress covered with a flannel when you look at your pictures in 20 years.

I haven’t! Thank you for the suggestion! The flannel was my idea for the reception when we’re eating/ dancing etc.

I have seen people doing customized flannels and jean jackets. You could throw one of those on if you get cold.

I would personally prefer something that matches the dress better. So even a white sweater would look nicer than a contrasting color flannel shirt.

Don't forget to let your guests know the entire wedding will be outside so they can dress warmly.

I love contrast and adding a casual touch to weddings. Flannel or Jean shirt would look great. If you are looking for something more formal try a cardigan, shawl/poncho or a cape. You can alternate so that you have pictures with both looks. But, I still love the shirt idea. 😉

Try this site. There’s a bunch of pretty jackets on here and I only checked the first page. Maybe you can find one on there 🙂

My daughter's best friend got married last year and found a cool faux fur wrap on Etsy that I think might still fit with your rustic theme.

Not sure what to do 3
