I already have a maid of honor but want my 18 year old sister to have an honorable title as well. What can I say instead of just a plain old bridesmaid?

You could also make her a maid of honor. You can definitely have more than one

Being in the wedding party is considered an honor, no? I think she's fine as a bridesmaid. Unless you want to have 2 maids of honor.

You can have 2 maid of honors. I have 2 sisters and they are both of my maid of honors

Matron of honor is used when the person you select is married. You can have two maids of honor if that is what you want.

@Renee: Assuming this 18-year-old sister isn't married, she can't be "matron of honor."

Maid of honor=unmarried woman

Matron of honor=married woman

Those are just different names for the same position.

I have 2 MOHs. One is my married sister and she is my matron of honor and my unmarried sister is my maid of honor. You can have two, if you want. Honestly, it might mean the world to your younger sister, as it did to mine.
