Not so depressing postponement announcements.

Laura, on May 5, 2020 at 6:41 PM Posted in Planning 1 29

Has anyone done postponement announcements that are either humorous or lighthearted? I don't want to make light of this time, but I do want to send a message of hope or levity (humor)... Any ideas????

You should someone needs a good laugh everything so serious. Maybe you can download the meme app and make memes or just post it someone needs a laugh or a sigh of hope. ❤️

I like this. But the boxes don't make sense in context. It's actually a moving announcement. lol! The back has the more serious explanation and our desire to not send a sad note..

I think it's funny because we are dancing around clueless and blind, which is very much like planning a wedding during Covid. lol!

So you wouldn't be offended receiving something like that?

Here's the note on the back...

🤣 no not at all. If they know you they know your humor it's funny. Atleast they'll see you keeping your head up about it.

This made me laugh and though, yes, it's a a tiny bit out of context, I think it's fine. It's FAR better than being the thousandth one with masks, TP, gloves, Lysol, and/or Corona beer that I have seen. To me, those things are making light of others' suffering by directly referencing the deadly virus and trying too hard to be funny (and the suffering is still actively going on!).

But yours is just cute and fun and silly in the best way.

So remove that part about taking out the table lamps - or leave it?? hahahaha!!! Do I need to mention that the date stood us up for Covid? I think I'd rather not, we already emailed everyone... and it might bring the message down somehow? Or, should we keep it because that is the reason?

Oh yay! Thank you!!!!! Smiley laugh I adore my darling man so much and every day is fun with him. We could find joy not matter what. He's amazing! I'd love that optimism to come through.

I do want to send actual cards though, just in case. And - it's fun to get 'real' mail. Smiley smile
