Yea im.not a fan of it either to plan and no detail at all should have something or some sort of design other then flat and i dont like the sleeves ...i didnt keep any of the pics of my other dresses besides the one that was the one ...but you have to wear it no one else

I agree with PP. It reminds me of Meghan Markle's beautiful wedding dress! I think a veil could help get everyone on board

This was my close but no cigar dress. My sister, cousin, and mom told me that I’m already pear-shaped and plus sized so having such a “big” dress made me look ridiculous.

I like it. I also prefer the simpler gowns as opposed to the trendier, extravagant ones. You said it was a couple sizes too small, maybe you could ask the bridal store if they could get one in a bigger size for you to try on, or call around to see if someone else can. The right fit of a dress makes all the difference. And since it’s so simple, there’s a lot you can do to personalize your look with accessories.

Thanks everyone...this was actually a pop up store in nyc (cocomelody). I was intrigued on how cheap in price the dresses were so i wanted to put the quality to the test so they only had a limited amount of dresses. I wound up buying this beauty and im glad they talked me out of the first one as im in love with this one

I am pear shaped and thought mermaid all the way but the dress I love is simple and shaped like this one, I posted a pic of myself in it. It's structured and taffeta so maybe that is the difference. PS pear shapes are BANGING 😍😍

I think this looks great on you! Ball gowns are great on plus sized women because it cinches you in at the waist.

This was one of the first dresses that I tried on, and I fell in love with it for the bodice and the AMAZING open back (and pockets).

But I ended up going with a totally different look (still an A-line) that I’m VERY happy with!!

I love that dress!!

I absolutely loved this dress (in ivory, although the grey was surprisingly nice too). It was light, airy, and fit almost perfectly right off the hanger. But my mom and FMIL hated it because it was “too plain” (I.e. no added bling without the belt). It didn’t even have a petticoat to get all that poof. It’s one of 3 dresses that I actually wish I’d gotten over the dress I ended up buying... so much regret.

Then the 1st one was TOO white (whitest dress in the store) and didn’t have a train, and the 2nd one wasn’t white enough, and was “too busy”

This is the dress I ended up buying, and I don’t like it anywhere near as much as I liked the other 3...

I’m thinking about getting a cape, but they’re all either plain tulle, or have lace, not beading. I hate the way veils feel, so that’s probably not going to work.
