Not nervous... yet lol. Anyone else?

Has any bride NOT been nervous or anxious as the day gets closer? I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, but weirdly, I'm as cool as a cucumber right now. I keep feeling like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop lol. I don't want to jinx myself though Smiley laugh

Our wedding date is September 19th, so we are a month and ONE DAY awaySmiley heart . We are so excited. We are moving forward just as planned. Our wedding is in St Augustine, FL, and our venue has been having weddings since June. They've been having a lot of COVID safety measures, but we are still allowed to have everything as normal. Masks are recommended but not required there.

COVID has been a roller coaster for every 2020 bride, and I can't wait to finally marry my fiance. Our venue is all-inclusive, so maybe that's why I don't feel all stressed out. Who knows, maybe that will change once September hits lol

Harness that feeling! I was the same way until this week. My wedding is this Saturday, and I wake up everyday with a knot in my stomach. I also suffer from anxiety. It really sucks because everything is done now and I have nothing to focus on. I need to find some small, fun tasks to keep me busy.

Congratulations! We’re getting married the week before you and I’m doing pretty good too! We applied for our marriage license, my final dress fitting is today, and generally I just feel like everything is coming together! I had a lot of drama and an emotional time for a couple weeks, but I’ve refocused on the good. Our wedding isn’t going to look like we imagined, masks are required indoors when not at your assigned table, no dancing (except our first dance), mingling is supposed to be limited, but Covid also led us to the perfect ceremony site (because all other options are closed). It’s definitely been a rollercoaster, but we’re getting close. Ask me how my anxiety is in a couple more weeks and I may be a mess, but I’m trying to just focus on that which I can control! Hope you enjoy the final month of your engagement!

Congratulations on your wedding this week! Everything will be beautifulSmiley ring Smiley heart .

I'm sorry you've been feeling that way. I completely understand; It's definitely not fun. Like you said, finding small tasks to keep you busy is a good idea! Maybe if you also have time and can afford it, you can get a massage or a facial. That would make you feel great.

Ugh I know! I want a facial so bad, but I have never had one before and I’m afraid to try it for the first time during wedding week. Now a massage sounds lovely.

Thank you! Congrats to you tooSmiley ring Smiley heart . So close!

How was your processed with your marriage license? We had to go to another county because I panicked after we did the pre-application for ours and we still hadn't heard from them.

I'm sorry there was a lot of drama. Like you said, the best thing to do is to focus on things you can control! I will keep that in mind for myself as well lol. I hope you enjoy your final weeks of planning and have a great marriage. Everything will be great!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding. My date is Sept 5 and I do too suffer from anxiety. However I'm calm and super excited to do this. My venue is all inclusive too and I believe that relives most of the stress.

Congratulations!! We’re a month and 8 days!! I’m a little anxious to finish the last few details but I think after our final meeting with the venue I’ll be fine!! If anything Covid and this pandemic has made it even more clear that FH is my person. We’ve gotten stronger, closer, and just rolled with the punches!

We are 25 days out. My anxiety isn't too bad, but I'm not sure how it will be once the date gets closer. My bachelorette party is this weekend and I'm excited about that! Things definitely aren't going to be as I pictured for my wedding but I can't wait to marry my FH. Right now my biggest concern is my cousin getting her bridesmaid dress altered she just took it in last week and it needed some major work done. Like 6 inches taken off the bottom and because she is small in the boob area and the dress she selected has almost a sheer back they have to completely reconstruct the top. So I'm a bit stressed about that one.

I had a small bouts of anxiety. One when packing to go to our Airbnb a couple days ahead of the ceremony - I didn’t want to forget anything!

Second when I got a horrible SUNBURN the day before the ceremony. Didn’t realize it until I got home and the lines didn’t resemble my dress at all. I bought everything under the sun at Target to help that night and sat slathered in 1) alone 2) menthol shaving cream and 3) Vick’s vapor rub. Lol. I was so mad at myself.

Like you, I'm not nervous. I'm really not even waiting for the other shoe to drop. I think, no I know, I'm just ready for us to be married.

Any stress or anxiety I get / have is usually because of something the FILs or his ex has done / said. LOL...

I get bad anxiety. My wedding is a year away and everytime I think about my wedding I get anxious and stressed. The funny thing is that I don't have any reason to be I've been planning my wedding for a year now and everything is just about done for my August 2021 wedding. I hope when my wedding is close I can be calm like you. I hope everything goes exactly as you planned and you stay cool as a cucumber.

The closer we got, the calmer I got! My BP said I was the chillest bride they'd ever seen day of...

I was more anxious it would never happen, because of some traumatic things in my past.

But DH is a rock, and we treated it like a theatrical performance, so we rehearsed... and then it happened. My "nervous" energy was really just excitement.

I also suffer from anxiety and was surprisingly calm before my wedding. The week before, we made a list of everything that was supposed to happen that day and everything we would need for each step. Then we bought the things we didn't already have covered. I think that really helped maintain my level of calmness. I was still somewhat anxious because I didn't suddenly become a different person, but I wasn't nervous about the wedding, and once I was able to just be alone while I waited for the ceremony to start (about 30 minutes before) I actually felt uncharacteristically relaxed. So it's actually possible that there won't be another shoe!

I'm a ball of nervous & maybe that because we have so many things to do once we get our final RSVPs (deadline is 8/30). We have to wait to do other things like final confirmation with caterer and work with an outside vendor for chairs once we have it. We had to move our wedding back in July to another venue, so that's been a lot of fun! LOL.
