Not into fancy gowns

Haycha , on January 15, 2018 at 7:58 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
Hey! I'm having a small wedding and I'm not into fancy gowns. ..especially ones that cost over a thousand dollars. Would it look cheap to order a formal ivory dress that's not a wedding gown? How can I male it look more bridal?

A short veil just for the ceremony would look nice.

I don't think it would look cheap at all! David's Bridal has a lot of bridesmaid dresses that come in ivory, or anywhere that sells prom dresses is bound to have a decent selection. Smiley smile If you're worried about it not being bridal enough, a veil should do the trick. Smiley smile

I don't think that looks not bridal at all, it's very nice. I agree a veil or a sparkly comb would look perfect with this dress, and of course with your hair and makeup done Smiley smile If you're not set on this dress, David's Bridal does have affordable wedding dresses, I found mine for under $500.

I don’t know what your taste is, but Davids definitely has cheap options that don’t scream fancy gown. I screen shotted a few that I saw on the app.

I think the dress is one is of the areas where “you do you” truly applies.

Many people wouldn't be able to tell an ivory formal dress from a wedding dress. Buy what you like.

Adrianna Papell has lots of dresses under $500

I didn’t want to go extra fancy or pay too much. I just found a nice dress today. It’s part of their $99 sale. Maybe if you look there you will see something you like! http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_appliqued-chiffon-halter-sheath-wedding-dress-op1327

It's your wedding, where what makes YOU feel bridal. The dress is gorgeous and if you like it, then that is all that matters. You could always use accessories to make it feel however you want it to feel. My cousin wore a dress that happened to be white (and gorgeous) at Macy's for around $75 a few years back. As someone said before, You do you. That is all that matters.

You can get married in whatever you want! People used to wear all colors of just the nicest dress they had. That dress is lovely. Since it is prom season, there are plenty of dresses out there that are white or ivory (if you want that) that aren't big puffs of tulle and jewel covered. You could also look for vintage dresses. Much more simple.
