Not doing makeup with bridesmaids

There's a MUA I want to do my makeup but she doesn't do house calls. I did a trial with her, I liked her, but I will have to go to her salon the day of the wedding to get ready. There is no room for my bridesmaids to come with my to get their hair and makeup done or even to do it themselves at the salon. Has anyone ever done this and did you regret not getting hair and makeup done with your girls? I still plan to all get dressed and do finishing touches together. Any thoughts?

It actually might be quieter and more "zen" to get that part done on your own. I'd probably appreciate the quiet moment.

There’s nothing wrong with your plan. I would actually appreciate the time to get hair and makeup done on my own before getting dressed and doing photos.

Honestly the whole "getting ready with your girls" has been overhyped..I just had my wedding on Saturday and we had a hair/makeup team come to the house to help us get ready. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice experience and I love my girls but having 7 women + 4 family members + a team of artists was a lot to handle in one space. I like the idea of getting makeup/hair done separately and then dressing up together, it sounds more peaceful. Plus there's the added bonus that you can all surprise each other with your fresh makeup/hair looks

Not to mention the bride is justifiably going to be the focus. Going on your own gives you the opportunity to go to or pick your own people, DIY or do something to your own taste.

That's what I was thinking but it's nice to have other people say it too. Sometime it feels like certain things have to be done just because everyone does it.
