So I’m not the flowery type and have no desire to carry a bouquet. I’ve been trying to look for ideas of other things to carry, but none stood out to me. At this point, I’ll be empty-handed (which is ok). Do you have any ideas of what to carry instead of flowers?
Do you and your FH have anything specifically memorable that's object related? Or do you have a theme you could try and match?
The only other thing I've seen is a bride carrying a lit candle, but I don't really remember how that worked once she reached the alter.... if you're not feeling flowers, definitely don't do something that doesn't feel you!
Books, lantern, globe, nothing at all! I love the idea of traditional paper or silk lanterns that glow ranger than the glass and metal ones. Are there any special items that have meaning in your relationship?
My mom carried a tiny bible with her bouquet and so for my first wedding I carried a tiny bible with a corsage with charms hanging. You can do something similar without the corsage. My charms were a tiny elephant for good luck, a tiny bride and groom, a gem of my birthstone and April's since that was the month we married.

That’s what I’ve been racking my brain about. The only think I can come up with is a paper bouquet made of music sheets....but it’ll still look like flowers and that’s the part that “isn’t us”
how did you two meet? Maybe you could incorporate that.
or perhaps you can honor a family member by carrying a locket with a special picture or something else. One of my friends made her flowers out of paper and they looked so cute. you could do a lantern or single book or if you like music maybe something relating to that.
