Non website made invitations

Amelia, on May 14, 2019 at 11:07 AM Posted in Planning 0 11

Does anyone have pricing information on invitation suites that are not from an online site? I would like to support local paper makers/designers, but not sure on pricing. Most won't give a quote until you have a consultation with them. Just looking for a range before I take the time for a consultation. Thanks!

I went to papyrus. They had books with invitations in their store that you can browse before selecting anything. The books had pricing in them and there was no pressure to purchase when looking, in my experience.

I had mine made from a local shop. They told me they can work in any price range and their prices are similar to online shops.

My cousin had hers made from a local shop and they were fairly inexpensive. Nothing as cheap as vistaprint but it didn't break the bank.

I went to a local shop in PA. They were amazing & the prices were extremely competitive. I actual sat w/ her for about 90 mins & we did the STD & invites there. The price for the STD were around $350 (we got magnets) and the invites are about $500 - but that includes the invites, plus the preaddressed envelopes & the addresses rsvp envelope.

I used a local business, and she charged us $1 each for Save the Dates and RSVP cards, and $1.80 for each invitation. We ordered simple flat invitations, so this was on the lower end of the cost spectrum, but they turned out beautifully! We got 50 each of Save the Dates, Invitations, RSVP cards, and Thank You Notes with envelopes for everything but the RSVP cards (they're postcard style) for around $250, and everything was personalized and goes together well. She did a great job!

I went to a Paper Source in town. You can look at some options on their website and they also have books in their shop that you can flip through. The price will vary depending on the paper, ink, printing, envelope inserts, if you get them printed with addresses, how many inserts you need, etc. The final price will depend on the number of invites needed and how many options you choose.

So I got the template on etsy and made my own. Then had them printed at a local place. The front and back printing on both the invite and RSVP card for 150 invitations and RSVPs ended up being about $200. I would assume that if you had them custom design, it would be at least an additional $50 but I would guess more like $100.

Thanks! That doesn't seem like a crazy jump from online pricing. Glad yours came out amazing!
