Non Traditional Wedding Gown color

The lining of my dress is blush but the lace overlay is ivory! But honestly looks white in most lighting. I wasn't planning on ordering the dress in blush but the consultant I had actually suggested that I do. She said that often times that pure white washes a person with fair skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair. The blush helps create contrast!

@Nas had a custom gold dress, OGs Jorocka and Elphaba had black dresses (I don't think they are on the site anymore)
If you do a search in the forums for colored wedding dress or something similar you will find the threads that have pics etc.

Check out Prom Dress and Pageant dress shops, they tend to be cheaper than "wedding dresses" but lots of places have pageant and prom dresses that easily could be worn for a wedding and are generally much cheaper (MacDuggal is one of my personal favorites so check his website out)

I originally wanted a blush gown but couldn't find any that I liked. My dress now is champagne overlaid with ivory and I feel so gorgeous in it. There's no way my pale skin could have pulled off a traditional white dress.

I wanted a rose gold one, but found the one before I got a chance to try it on

I was at my bridal shop the other day for alterations and they had this AMAZING all red lace dress in the window. I fell in love with it. If you want a red dress, get a red dress. There have been lots of ladies on here in different color dresses.

I just picked up my burgundy gown. I wanted to not be so bridal so I love it. I found it at a prom shop, its a sherri hill.

My dress just happens to be whisper pink, love it!

I wanted a navy blue dress but couldn't find exactly what I wanted without ordering online, which I didn't trust. I ended up buying the dress I wanted in white with serious dress regret and putting bridesmaids in navy. Pick the dress you want!

I never wanted a white/ivory wedding gown. I live it on other people but not me, so I didn’t even consider it. My dress wasn’t a “wedding” gown per se. It is pale pink with a gold overlay by Tadashi Shoji.

Yes. I never even considered white. I really don't like dresses, as I'm not girly, but its my wedding. I originally wanted black, but let my mom an moh weigh in and we agreed on a pale gray/silver. Here's a pic I took for the seamstress 😊

Mine is ivory lace with a pink underlay & I absolutely love it & it still feels super bridal to me!

My friend had a gorgeous white dress with black accents. Definitely a little funky and fit her personality!!

I wore a grey one. I couldn't imagine a more bridal dress for myself. Wear what makes you feel confident and excited. Color doesn't define you as a bride.

Yep. I am strongly considering a Royal Blue gown....don't really want a white traditional gown cause I'm not a traditional kind of bride.

If it's not too late try Cocoa Melody..it's where I am planning to get my dress from and they have lots of gowns you can order custom made into the color you want.
