Non-traditional music

I walked down the aisle to Goodnight Anne from the show Anne With An E, lol. Our recessional was Tom Petty's "Wildflowers"

I'm planning "Heaven's Gate" by Fall Out Boy for our recessional... that probably counts as nontraditional.

We’re definitely having traditional music at our wedding. But we are playing about 3 different songs for the processional.

We walked down the aisle to the theme from one our favorite video games. My best friend's husband did this as well -- he walked to a video game soundtrack and his groomsmen walked to the Imperial March from Star Wars 😆

I walked down to a portion of Salamander Eyes from the Fantastic Beasts soundtrack. Cocktail hour was Castlevania and FF9 theme songs along with other stuff. Do what makes you happy.

We have a string quartet that are going to be playing for the 30 minutes before the ceremony begins, as well as during the ceremony (I booked them for an hour). The pre-wedding music is all going to be a mix of classical and modern music. Once we begin, the parents are all walking in to "Air on a G String" by Bach, which will then blend into Bach's "Ave Maria" for my bridal party and myself - kinda standard.

But we're walking back down the aisle as husband and wife to a string quartet version of Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now". It's one of those songs that just sounds like happy loveliness unless you know what it is and the chorus hits. And then you're a bit like "Wait. Is this? Maybe? No..."

We're still trying to decide on an entrance song for our reception, though we are using Billy Idol's "White Wedding" for when we cut the cake, cause I find it funny. Same with the last song of the night - no idea.

My bridal party and I walked down to a cover of Guns N Roses November Rain by the Amadeus Electric Quartet. Everything else was pretty standard.

FH and I are big pop punk fans, but recognize that no one would have a good time at the reception if we just played the music we like so we're sneaking it in where we can.

The bridal party is walking down the aisle to a piano version of Bad Girls Club by Falling In Reverse.

For the reception introductions the bridal party is coming into Chop Suey! By System of a Down and FH and I are entering to Downfall of Us All by A Day to Remember. (chosen because when you see A Day To Remember in concert, they ALWAYS play Chop Suey! right before they come on the stage, when you hear it you know the main event is next, and they almost always open with downfall of us all)

Mine weren't necessarily nontraditional but you mentioned tv show themes and i definitely chose my first dance song based on a tv show haha

I actually tried to respond to your post about your dress, but for some reason the app won’t let me. I am also having my black dress custom made! I’m not lucky enough to have my mom make it though. How special that you will be wearing something she creates! I can’t wait to see pictures of it!
And we will also be having a string quartet 30 minutes prior to the ceremony as guests are getting seated, and then during the ceremony.
