Your caterer should have some suggestions. Just be sure that you have a lot of apps, to make it a whole meal.

Make sure everyone still has a place to sit. It's impossible to eat while also having a glass of wine and not have a chair/table.

I am always a fan of meatballs, chicken satay, mini sliders (pulled pork, burgers, roast beef, etc.)... bacon wrapped shrimp.

If your wedding is during meal time, you need dinner. Not apps. Guests will leave because they will be hungry. Don't make your guest hungry.

I would say just make sure there is enough for guest to snack on and not end up hungry at the end of the night (unless its during the day then lighter is okay). We make a "summer salad" that has lots of fruit in it as well, everyone loves it so much maybe try something like this.

I would just consult your caterer on what they regularly serve for that time of day.

Make sure you have seats please. Kids and elderly and well, everyone would appreciate it. If you want to do this setup, make sure it's not during a meal time.

I went to a wedding once that had a mac n cheese station and it was a huge hit.

Some ways you can make an app/station meal into a full meal:

    Pasta station

    Sushi display

    Seafood display

    Carving station

    Fry or mashed potato bar

Haha, you're welcome. Meatballs are always a fan favorite. Small crab cakes, stuffed peppers could be a hit too! We make small peppers stuffed with cheese and toped with honey- people love those!!! I would just make sure to have a good variety. So some fruit, veggies, meat and fish. I think this will work perfectly since its earlier. People will leave so sleepy if they get all stuffed on a full "dinner".

Please have seats for all your guests. And unless this is during a non-meal time, please ensure you have enough food to make it a full meal for guests.

Our venue had heavy hor d'ouevres as an option and that's what we went with. This was our menu:

    Bacon wrapped shrimp w/teriyaki drizzle
Mini chicken and waffle bites w/honey tarragon sauce
    Sausage stuffed mushroom caps
Pulled BBQ wontons w/cole slaw and sauce
Basil pesto torte w/cheese and crackers
    Caprese skewers
Pimento cheese w/crackers and assorted fruit w/raspberry cream cheese
    Macaroni and cheese
Pecan encrusted chicken (this was the favorite!)
Roasted round of beef w/ au jus and horseradish

Everyone said they had plenty to eat with this and our cupcakes.

Man, you really CANNOT go wrong with stuffed mushrooms!!

Meatballs are great too, there are so many ways to make them. My favorite is sweet and sour.

    Sliders!

Pasta Salad with LOTS of veggies and an oil/Italian dressing since it is summer.
