So my fiance and I have been considering doing a combined father/daughter and mother/son dance instead of having them split up. While my fiance and his mother have a very good relationship, the one between myself and my father is a bit more complicated...maybe tense is a better term. That being said, I'm having trouble finding a song that isn't overly sappy and would leave me rolling my eyes the whole time.
The only song I've found that I felt could work was Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles. I figure it can be interpreted in a multitude of ways so that it can fit each of our relationships with the parent we will be dancing with.
I was hoping for some thoughts regarding us using this song for our joint parent dance and also any suggestions.
