Non-cutesy colored Flower girl dress?

Amazon? My flower girls are getting their dresses from there and one will be 8 years old. She will be in something similar to the first frwss but in Burgundy. Maybe even a Junior bridesmaid dress would work? Or a pageant dress? Dunno what color blue you are looking for though

Based on your aversions, Kohl’s or Macy’s probably have something more along the lines of what you’re looking for.

I've found these on etsy which are more towards 'tween' looks imo - a lot of them are, as you say, more suited to toddlers. I haven't used any of these sellers, just searched for blue tween flower girl dresses:

Idk everything I find is either toddler looking with frills, bows, and lace, or jumps to “tween/teen” with too much skin showing than I would ever allow a 13 year old to show anyway. This has proved to be the biggest pain.

I'd always understood tween was anywhere between 8 and 12, really, so I'd say 8 was on the younger end of tween.

But, even if you don't consider 8 a tween, I think if you're wanting something that isn't too 'cutesy' then you're going to have to use terms like that to find what you are looking for.

I mean, I don't personally think most of the above show too much skin for an 8 year old. You could always go for something like these?

I think you may have to look based on the size clothes she wears. If she's tall and wearing tween clothes, you can go the junior bridesmaid route, but if she's small for her age, the flower girl section may be best.

I'd take the words "wedding", "flower girl", "bridesmaid" etc out of your search and just look at girls' dresses. This should eliminate the issues you are having, and will be way cheaper too.

I made our flower girl dress! I bought the top off of Etsy and then the bottom is just tulle that I tied in the holes. The straps are just ribbon that we sewed into the top.

Have you checked out sites like JCPenney, Macy's, Dillard's etc. I know Penney's has a pretty good selection of dresses for girls. This might be too plain/casual, but seems age appropriate. Many of the Etsy vendors have some really cute things as well!
