Anyone requesting no social media posts for Your day?! I'm requesting that none be shared of the ceremony, but can for the reception. Am I being selfish?

I added slides to my power-point that will play before the ceremony starts to ask that people not to post on social media until after midnight of the day of our wedding. Hopefully it's successful.

Maybe it's because I don't get the obsession with social media or the need to share every moment of one's life on there, but I hate when I see people posting 485 photos of someone's ceremony online 5 minutes after they've said their vows. I am having unplugged ceremony because, for that half hour, it's about FH and I and it's a very special and private moment. I think it's also unfair for anyone to post that moment on social media before we do, which I probably won't. During the reception, they can go to town, but the ceremony is intimate and private and i feel like if I wanted everyone to be there or witness it, I'd invite them. It's not about controlling anyone, it's about one respecting your privacy as well. I would never post a photo of someone's child or of anyone for that matter, on Facebook without their consent, and I expect the same in return.
