I'm so sorry, it sounds like you got scammed. What about getting done up again and doing a "Happily Ever After" photoshoot? This time obviously with a reputable photographer! Congrats on your marriage!!

I am assuming there was a signed contract for those services? If so, you could contact a lawyer to see what kind of recourse is available. You can also leave negative reviews on all platforms (google, yelp, local FB wedding pages, all their social media sites, etc.)

I’m sorry that happened to you. In this case I would get all dressed and either do a professional reenactment or bridal portraits. It’s for you, involving no one else so it’s fine.

If it was paid by credit card, you may be able to get the charge canceled. Also, like others said. Get some bridal photos done after the fact. You may either book a photographer for a location shoot or find a family studio nearby.

Be sure to leave reviews of this "business" to warn potential customers about your experience.

If you have the time and energy, you can bring a case to small claims courts. You have to have some sort of evidence to demonstrate that the photographer did not perform to the contract -- maybe even people working at the location of your marriage. This is only if the photographer is legit or you can identify that person. If you send email, you should only claim what you intend -- like saying you may have to do a court case against him. I think, though, even a court case would involve two steps -- a case against the photographer and then a hearing about the collection from the person.
