Is your venue catering the wedding or have you got external caterers?

Get a hold of them and obtain the menu so you can start selecting!

Why don't you ask your brother to write up a list of what he is particularly good at making / enjoys cooking and can make for a crowd and then go through it with FH and decide?

Can you maybe have your brother make your favorite dish and your FH's favorite dish? That way it reflects you both (and ensures he eats whatever it is). Maybe, if you want more options, something you ate on your 1st date or at your favorite date night restaurant.

Lol ok maybe not McDonald's. Are there any dishes that you 2 gravitate to when you do go out to eat? I don't know how formal or casual your wedding is, but maybe doing a play on burgers and fries? You can get creative with toppings and such and it would still be a nod to your first date.

I wouldn’t know exactly but just break things down. For example, a list of you and his favorite meats and side dishes and desserts. Get a variety.

There are plenty of options that don't include pasta and tacos. I do have concerns about your brother cooking the food though. How are you making sure everything is sanitary? It is questionable under normal circumstances, but even more so with a pandemic. Also, how are you having the food served because again sanitary issues are a concern?

Okay so during cocktail hour you could offer passed apps like Swedish meatballs, jelly meatballs, pigs in a blanket, deviled eggs, sliders, etc. I would offer a salad course which could be like a basic garden salad or Caesar salad. For your main course, I would have two meat options and a vegetarian option. Some suggestions would be turkey, ham, chicken, steak, or fish. A vegetarian option could be eggplant parmesan or vegetable lasagna. For sides, I would have a starch and veggie. Some starch options would be potatoes, rice, and mac & cheese. For veggies, I would probably do a mixed seasonal veggies. While your fiance might not like pasta, other people do so you could still have pasta, but he just doesn't have to eat it. For dessert, cake, cookies, brownies, ice cream, or donuts would be nice options. I'm not sure what all your uncle can make, but I would definitely give your guests options.

You're welcome Smiley smile I forgot to add that a meat/cheese tray or fruit and veggie tray would also be good options to serve during cocktail hour.
