No maid of honor?

Cortney, on January 2, 2018 at 10:18 AM Posted in Planning 0 9
So I got really excited about picking my bridesmaids shortly after getting engaged, but couldn't decide on a maid of honor. So I have asked 5 people to be bridesmaids (3 sisters and 2 close friends) and decided to just make the maid of honor decision later. Now months later, I still cannot decide. Is it weird not to have a maid of honor?

Not weird at all. It's not required to have a bridal party at all, let alone a MOH.

But don't put too much pressure on the decision. Nothing wrong with not having one.

It's fine to not have a maid of honor. Your BP is entirely your decision, and whatever you decide is fine.

Not a problem at all. I've been to a wedding where the couple chose not to have a MOH or BM. They did not want to have to choose one friend over the other. It's perfectly fine to call everyone a BM and not have a MOH.

I am dealing with this as well, as I have 3 sisters who I am very close with and am unable to decided between them who should be my MOH. ( So I may just do all bridesmaids)

It's not a requirement to have one. I will only have 4 bridesmaids; including 3 sisters and my best friend.

If you cant pick one of them, a designated MOH is not required. they will all just be bridesmaids and stand with you on your wedding day.

ive known people to have more than one MOH, like have a Matron and Maid of honor each, and some to have a Man of Honor and Best Woman instead. its entirely up to you

If there is no MOH, then who signs the marriage license as a witness? Don't you need two witnesses', your's, SO's, and officiant's signature for the license?
