Just stand firm in your decision. Tell them it so sweet that they offered but you’d prefer an adults a only event.

I think sometimes parents forget that adults want adults only time. Just tell them it's not a money issue rather you want this to be an adults only affair.

Love your post Sylvie!! 😂. Literally wish we weren’t gonna invite kids but we caved to the pressure of our parents. Even tho you’re going thru it, I’m jell. Hang in there!

Stand your ground it's your day ! We're having zero kids except my brothers kids. From what I've told parents enjoy a night out. The only person that was slightly upset at first with my no kid decision was my mom but she agrees now. I'm inviting my cousin (he's almost 40) but not his 10 year old daughter.

Ahhh sorry you have to deal with that - word hasn’t gotten around our family/friends yet haha — but I’m sure it’ll be an issue- we have a 5yr old daughter (who is obv our FG) my two nephews (ave 14,10) and his two nieces (6,4) that is all I am allowing to come as for kids. Bc they are my sisters kids and his brothers. That’s it. But I know some family and friends are going to be upset about it - I don’t care. If we let everyone bring theirs it would total to about 27 kids LOL no thanks.

Stand your ground for sure. I know sometimes it’s hard for parents to figure out childcare but they can’t get around it all the time and bypass it hoping you’d let

Wow. yeah thats annoying. I also have an adult only wedding. I would just keep standing your ground respectfully and just let them know " although we love your little ones, this an adult only affair"
